I have moved forward with the upgrade to QuickBooks Pro, and we will begin the transition on July 6th. Jim motioned to approve Payroll in the amount of $165,107.80 and Expenses in the amount of $360,137.58 for a total of $525,245.38. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Ririe Station Update: The building has started being constructed. Per Dennis Wilkinson ICRMP has contacted an engineer to come out and inspect the property. I have drafted an additional reply letter to ICRMP and provided a copy to the Commissioners. The letter covers the course of proceedings from last year through today. This letter gives them a 14-day reply window, and I anticipate a response from this letter.
2. Insurance Update: We are currently looking into insurance options still. With the small group we have options that are rather expensive. The full-time personnel are talking about union options too. We will be bringing more information in as we work on this next budget. We should have more information in July.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Ambulance Service Contracts: The ambulance district retained an attorney Skylar Johns. Dennis and Skylar have spoken and will have some changes in the next day or two. Dennis anticipates we will have the contract finalized by the ambulance district’s next meeting on July 1st.
FIRE CHIEF REPORT:
We are conducting final interviews for the new hire on Wednesday June 17th. Engine 5 responded to a call and left a door open and hit the building. The building was damaged along with E5. A week later Engine 5 broke down while responding to a call, it currently will not start. We have a mechanic working on diagnosing the issue. We are currently running L1 and may need to start rotating other engines as E5 until we figure out what is wrong with E5.
Stock trucks with Peirce start at $450,000 vs a custom build $850,000. So, we have some options as we are moving forward and are looking into purchasing a new truck as needed. Menan Station update: The living quarters area has been sheet rocked. We will be painting ourselves and finish up the last details. The electrician will have to come back and finish up the switches and plugs.
During Stampede days there will be an AED presentation on Saturday June 20th at 5 pm.
– Battalion Chief input – BC Albertson informed the commissioners about the accident where a truck ended up upside down in a creek in Swan Valley. One of our volunteers his son Brandon Albertson and his wife Rylie performed CPR for approximately 20 minutes before IFFD ambulance arrived. They had a pulse back on the 2YO and he was flown by helicopter to the hospital. Last update a few days ago from the family was that the child was doing good and recognizing family.
ASSISTANT CHIEF REPORT:
We had 61 transports from May billing $91K.
Amanda, Chief and I have been updating our policies and procedures. Dennis will be reviewing them prior to us pushing them out.
I have been working on the paperwork for ALS licensing.
DEPUTY CHIEF REPORT:
