October 2022 Newsletter

  • UPCOMING EVENTS
    • We will have lots of community Trunk or Treat events coming up at the end of the month. Please be in contact with your leadership and let them know if you can help! These are always lots of fun.
  • ANNOUNCEMENTS
    • As I look back through the calls we have received for the month of September, I see quite a few traffic accidents to end the 100 Deadliest Days. However I don’t recall having many that were severe/life threatening. Thank goodness for seat belts!!
    • Another item I see on our Active911 screen is a lot of medical breathing problems. Again, I don’t recall many of those as severe. I haven’t had to pick anyone up at the hospital for a while. Not sure I remember the way!
    • We have had some interesting backcountry calls this summer. Everyone is trying to get the last ounce of fun out of the nice weather so we may not be done yet!
    • ImageTrend seems to be working well for most. I implore those who always prefer to do patient care in order to avoid the new technology to embrace and learn the tablets!! They are not going away! For those who grab the tablet automatically because your partner does not understand the technology, maybe consider switching roles occasionally so everyone gets familiar with reporting.
    • On the subject of ImageTrend, please pay attention to the announcements when you log in. We often make notes there of things that need addressed in reports, tips, etc. We run up against A LOT of the same errors in reports that have to be fixed, so please take note of these bulletins!
    • October looks to be fun. Let’s enjoy the nice weather while we can! Thanks for all you do!
