December 2019 Newsletter
- UPCOMING EVENTS
- THANK YOU to everyone who helped with Heap the Helmet for the Hungry, and especially Jared for making it happen year after year! Donations totaled $3359.85. Broulim’s is in the process of making out gift cards and then we will begin distributing them in the community.
- ANNOUNCEMENTS
- EMT’s
– Please make it a point to record which hospital your patient is destined for.
With the Idaho Falls Community Hospital now operational, we need to be clear on
their destination.
- Another
reminder on EMS reports: the cover page of the report wants to know the address
to which you were dispatched, NOT the patients address. We know you’re not
being dispatched to Arizona, Ashton, or the Bahamas!
- Please
make sure you set the emergency brakes on the EMS trucks after parking them on
scene. The parking brake activates high idle conditions and allows the alternator
to charge your truck battery. This is important when leaving emergency lights
on!
- Thanks
for all your hard work and remember to dress appropriately for the weather
conditions!
- Just
a reminder with the small engine equipment. In talking with our mechanics that
have been servicing the small engines, they have advised that the fuel should
be in the OFF position when not in use. This helps with keeping the carburetor
clean and easy starting.
