Fire District Commissioner Meeting

Opening Prayer: Dallin called the meeting to order at 8:00. The opening prayer was offered by Jim Deuel. Those present were Commissioners Jim Deuel, Mike Miller, Dallin Gambles, and Roger Anderson. Fire Chiefs Carl Anderson, Nic White, and BC’s, Mitch Bingham, Garth Foster, Corey Albertson and Jim Kelly. Jared Gianinni was excused. Nile Hall was present to take minutes. There were no patrons present.

Agenda: Dallin read the Agenda for the meeting with the change of moving the Audit report to the beginning of the meeting. Mike moved to accept agenda changes Roger seconded and voting was unanimous by Jim, Mike, Roger, and Dallin in the affirmative.

Budget Review: Nile reported that for the first quarter of the fiscal year all items are in line with budget expenditures.

Robert Renna reported findings for the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year audit. All items of revenues and expenditures were accurately recorded and the accounting is well organized and totally acceptable according to governmental fund regulations. Mike moved to accept the audit report, Roger seconded and voting was unanimous by Jim, Mike, Roger, and Dallin in the affirmative.

Approval of Expenditures—Action Item. Jim moved to accept the expenditures in the amount of $68,030.50 and payroll the amount of $60,747.45. Mike seconded voting was unanimous by Jim, Mike, Roger, and Dallin in the affirmative.

OLD BUSINESS
• Update of ambulance progress. Carl reported that $350,000 of ARPA money has been received and that ambulance equipment is coming in a little at a time.

NEW BUSINESS
• Audit is addressed above.
• Purchase of a second 12-lead monitor for ambulance purposes at the cost of up to $33,000 was requested. Jim moved to go ahead and purchase the second monitor before prices escalate more. Mike seconded, voting was unanimous by Jim, Mike, Roger, and Dallin in the affirmative.
• Ambulance rates/charges. A treatment and transport fee schedule was proposed for approval in preparation for the activating the ambulance. Roger moved to accept the proposal and proceed to get approval of same. Jim seconded, and voting was unanimous by Jim, Mike, Roger, and Dallin in the affirmative.

FIRE CHIEF REPORT: Carl reported that we have been busy. There were 191 EMS calls for December. That is the most calls ever in a 31 day period. For the calendar year 2022 there were 1,448 EMS and 258 Fire Calls for a total of 1706 total calls.

ASSISTANT CHIEF REPORT: Nic reported that the we have received the money for the Ross Creek Fire on the Reservation of $6,089.20.

COMMISSIONER REPORTS: Commissioners had nothing further than Thanks for all you do and have a Merry Christmas.

Roger moved to adjourn, and Mike seconded. The vote by Roger, Jim, Mike and Dallin was unanimous in the affirmative. Meeting adjourned at 8:49 PM.
