Fire District Commissioner Meeting

Opening Prayer: Roger called the meeting to order at 8:00. The opening prayer was
offered by Jim Deuel. Those present were Commissioners Gordon Ball, Jim Deuel,
Mike Miller, Gordon Ball and Roger Anderson. Fire Chiefs Carl Anderson, Nic White,
and Jared Giannini; and BC’s, Mitch Bingham, Garth Foster, Corey Albertson and Jim
Kelly. Nile Hall was present to take minutes. There were no patrons present.
Agenda: Roger read the Agenda for the meeting.
Approval of Minutes – ACTION ITEM: The October 2022 minutes were reviewed by the
commissioners previously. Mike moved to accept the minutes as written. Gordon
seconded. The vote by Roger, Gordon, Jim, Mike and Dallin was unanimous in the
affirmative.
Budget Review: Nile reported that for the second month of the fiscal year we are right
on target with the budget expenditures.
Approval of Expenditures—Action Item. Dallin moved to accept the expenditures in the
amount of $25,449.97 and payroll the amount of $75,994.33. Mike seconded The vote
by Roger, Gordon, Jim, Mike and Dallin was unanimous in the affirmative.
OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Carl explained that the MOU for receiving funds from ARPA for the
    ambulance was written and presented to the county commissioners. Jim
    moved to approve the MOU requesting $350,000 of the ARPA monies for the
    use of procuring an ambulance for the district. Gordon seconded the motion
    and the vote by Roger, Gordon, Jim, Mike and Dallin was unanimous in the
    affirmative.
  2. Mike moved to have Dallin Gambles be the Chairman of the Fire Commission
    for the coming year 2023. Jim seconded.The vote by Roger, Gordon, Jim,
    Mike and Dallin was unanimous in the affirmative.

FIRE CHIEF REPORT: Carl reported that we have been busy. There were 137 EMS
calls, 23 Fire calls, 1 Madison Fire Assist and 1 EMS Assist to Monteview. He also
reported that we most likely will service 200 more fire and EMS calls during 2022 than
last year.
ASSISTANT CHIEF REPORT: Nic reported that Fort Hall has approved paying Central
for assistance received in the amount of $6,000 plus for our 3 fire fighters and
equipment used a few months ago.
COMMISSIONER REPORTS: Commissioners had nothing further than Thanks for all
you do and have a Merry Christmas.

Dallin moved to adjourn, and Mike seconded. The vote by Roger, Gordon, Jim, Mike
and Dallin was unanimous in the affirmative. Meeting adjourned at 6:43 PM.
