  1. ANNOUNCEMENTS
  2. For those of you who have not heard, Blaine Ker (180) has announced his retirement, effective February 28th, 2022. Blaine has put 31 ½ years of heart and soul into our district. We appreciate all he has done throughout those years, and we wish him well as he steps away. His will be big shoes to fill, and we look forward to interviewing candidates for the position.
  3. Garth Foster has accepted the position of Captain at Station 2/Ririe. He has extensive knowledge, and we are excited to move him into this role!
  4. Tyler Rackham has accepted the position of Fire Training Captain. He will be working with all station Captains and new recruits to organize a cohesive training schedule. We welcome him to this leadership role!
  5. We are saddened to learn that Mike Johnson (former QR80/867) passed away this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Mike’s family is waiting until after Easter to have a graveside ceremony. We will share details as we get them.
  6. Our full-timers have a month of service under their belts now and we are utilizing them as we see needs and holes in schedules. Having a two-man crew of full-timers is new to us and they are taking direction from Administration. When responding to calls they are use the call sign of Central QRU/Fire. This is for dispatch’s CAD tracking and assignment. We are not taking any of our volunteer time away. We are supplementing your response, trying to make quicker responses when needed and they will be your engine crew when you need lift assists, etc. If you have any questions or concerns about their responses – when, why, where etc. – please feel free to call me. -190
  7. I will be coming around to each station during training soon and will be talking about some ideas/changes that we have concerning call responses. Stay tuned for that! -190
